A red alert is in place for Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, and Balasore districts, indicating a high risk of thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds. The forecast includes heavy to very heavy rain in other districts. The weather system is predicted to bring sustained rainfall through June 5th. The IMD’s warnings extend through July 5th, outlining the expected rainfall intensity and affected districts. Further, the IMD stated that there will be an increase in rainfall activity between July 6 and July 9.
