Yuvraj Siddharth Shekhar Singh, from the royal lineage of Khandapada, participated in the Chhera Pahanra ritual during the annual Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath at Khandapada Garjat Temple in the Nayagarh district of Odisha. Due to the health of his father, Bibhuti Bhushan Singh Mardaraj, Siddharth stepped in to perform the ritual, maintaining the unbroken royal tradition. The Chhera Pahanra involves the symbolic sweeping of the chariot with a golden-handled broom, demonstrating humility and service. Thousands of devotees attended the event, demonstrating the religious and cultural importance of the Rath Yatra, which was established during the reign of Raja Niladri Singh Mardaraj.
