A bride from Begusarai vanished from a train, prompting a search by authorities and worry from her family. The husband, Sumit Kumar, reported the incident to the Laheriasarai railway police, stating that his wife, Aanchal Kumari, disappeared from the Howrah-Jayanagar train. They had boarded the train from Teghra station on June 28, 2025. Aanchal told her husband she was going to the restroom near Samastipur station and didn’t return. Sumit stated that he had briefly fallen asleep. Upon waking, he searched for his wife, but she was not there. The bathroom and the entire compartment were searched without success. The train arrived at Laheriasarai, and a search at the station was also unsuccessful.
Sumit tried calling his wife’s mobile, which was switched off. He gave the number to the police. The couple married on May 18, 2025, in Begusarai and had been living together for approximately six weeks. There was no indication of any other relationship. Sumit confirmed that he has filed a complaint, but no progress has been made.
