The agenda includes the introduction of the new Chief Secretary and a farewell to the incumbent, whose term concludes on the same day. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 12 PM and is expected to result in significant decisions. The discussions will center on the monsoon season, including the availability of essential supplies like fertilizers and seeds for farmers, as well as the issue of DAP. Furthermore, the upcoming monsoon session will be reviewed. Amitabh Jain, the current Chief Secretary, is retiring on June 30th, having served the longest tenure in the state. The successor to Amitabh Jain is yet to be announced. Candidates for the position include Renuka Pillay and Subrat Sahu from the 1991 batch, along with ACS Manoj Pinguva and Richa Sharma from the 1994 batch. Additionally, Amit Agrawal, a 1993 batch officer, is also being considered. The Chief Minister will make the final decision after careful deliberation. The new Chief Secretary will be introduced at 11 am on the day of the cabinet meeting.
