Devotees of Lord Jagannath experienced a day of profound significance in Raipur. The city celebrated the start of a grand Rath Yatra, showcasing Lord Jagannath, his brother Balabhadra, and sister Subhadra. The procession began from the Shri Jagannath Temple in Gayatri Nagar. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Governor Ramen Deka visited the temple to offer prayers, expressing their wishes for the happiness and prosperity of all state residents.
Minister Tank Ram Verma and MP Brijmohan Agrawal joined the Chief Minister and Governor, enhancing the religious ambiance. A large crowd of devotees assembled at the temple to witness the Rath Yatra and receive the blessings of the deities.
Following the prayers, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, in accordance with tradition, initiated the Rath Yatra by using a ‘golden broom’ to purify the chariot’s path, a gesture representing devotion and service to Lord Jagannath. The splendor of the Rath Yatra and the unwavering faith of the devotees created a deeply spiritual atmosphere.
