In a disturbing incident in Bhagalpur, Bihar, a woman was stabbed eight times by her husband. The victim’s mother has spoken out, revealing details of the events leading up to the attack. The husband, a municipal employee, is alleged to have had multiple affairs, with claims of twelve girlfriends. The mother also stated that the husband demanded money, around 5 lakh rupees, from his wife to purportedly open a gym. After the money was not given, the attack took place. The incident occurred in the Jogser police station area. Sanjula Kumari (27) was attacked after being called back from picking up her children from school. The attack involved her husband, along with her in-laws and sister-in-law. According to the victim’s brother, there was an attempt to hang her after the assault. The brother said that his sister had evidence of the husband’s infidelity. It was also claimed that the husband was seeking a divorce to remarry. The victim’s mother added that her son-in-law wanted a divorce and to remarry. The hospital’s medical staff also came under scrutiny, as the victim waited for about 30 minutes before being attended to, in darkness, in the operation room.
