Oppo is preparing to launch its Reno 14 Series in India, adding more competition in the smartphone market. The series, which was initially unveiled in China in May, will be available for purchase on Amazon and Flipkart. The Indian version of the phone is expected to feature the Mediatek Dimensity 8450 chip. Additionally, it is likely to include a 50 MP main camera and AI-powered tools to enhance its performance.
The Pro model will have a 6200 mAh battery. The phone is set to launch on July 3. The tech launch will be virtual and streamed on Oppo’s social media at 12 PM IST. Oppo has been promoting the upcoming launch through posts on Twitter and a microsite on its website.
The Indian version of the Oppo Reno 14 Pro 5G is expected to resemble its Chinese counterpart. It will include a quad-camera setup. This includes a 50MP OV50E 1.55-inch sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50MP OV50D sensor, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5 x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The Oppo Reno 14 will have the Mediatek Dimensity 8450 chipset and a 6,200 mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
The other variant will feature a triple-camera setup, which includes a 50 MP Sony IMX883 sensor with a 1.95-inch pixel size and OIS support, an 8-Megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto sensor. Both phones will feature a 5-Megapixel JN5 front camera with autofocus. In line with current trends, these phones will include AI-based features. These features include Voice Enhancer, AI Editor 2.0, AI Recompose, AI Perfect Shot, AI Style Transfer, and AI Live Photo 2.0.
Oppo has not yet revealed the prices. However, media reports suggest that the prices in India will be similar to the Chinese versions.
