A 25-year-old woman was abducted and gang-raped in Mayurbhanj district, Odisha, in a recent incident that has raised concerns about the safety of women in the state. The woman was reportedly targeted after accepting a ride from two individuals on a motorcycle. She was taken to a remote location, where the assault occurred. Police have arrested one suspect and are actively pursuing the others involved. This case adds to a troubling pattern of sexual assaults in the state, with previous incidents reported in various districts, including Gopalpur, Keonjhar, and Berhampur.
