A tragic incident in Rajasthan’s Nagaur district resulted in a retired Border Security Force (BSF) officer shooting his brother-in-law and then taking his own life on Thursday. The act is a result of an ongoing family feud.
The ex-BSF officer, aged 48, was greatly distressed by his wife’s extended stay at her parents’ house. The man accused his in-laws of manipulating his wife against him, resulting in consistent disagreements and, ultimately, the separation of the couple. The police said that the man had documented his grievances before taking his own life, describing his marital problems and placing blame on his in-laws for his wife’s choices. He shot his brother-in-law with a registered firearm, killing him instantly, before taking his own life.
The video revealed the couple’s disputes involving the wife’s communications with her family and financial issues as a major factor in the ongoing marital issues. Authorities are still investigating the situation.
