An orange warning has been issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) for 13 districts in Odisha, indicating a high probability of very heavy rain, lightning, and gusty winds by 1 pm today. The affected districts include Angul, Balangir, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Kalahandi, Keonjhar, Khurda, Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Puri, Rayagada, and Sundargarh. The IMD’s 10 am forecast predicts that these areas could experience very heavy rain with light thunder and lightning, and wind speeds that may reach up to 30 kmph within the next three hours.
