Former US President Donald Trump stated that Iran will not acquire nuclear weapons and that he does not favor regime change. Addressing the press on Air Force One, Trump indicated that Iran is not currently focused on nuclear enrichment or weapon development, and would instead thrive as a trading nation. Trump also highlighted Iran’s substantial oil reserves as a factor in its potential economic success. Prior to this, Trump had posted on Truth Social, urging Israel to respect the ceasefire. He also described a scenario where Israeli jets would turn around and conduct a ‘friendly plane wave’ toward Iran. Trump later warned Israel against violating the ceasefire.
