Colorful Technology has launched the SMART 900 Mini PC, a compact desktop designed to cater to the needs of AI creators and professionals. Unveiled on June 23, 2025, the SMART 900 aims to deliver high-performance computing in a small, portable form factor of just 4 litres. The design emphasizes providing a portable solution that can handle intensive AI tasks, photo editing, and content creation effectively.
The core of the SMART 900 is the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor. This chip uses AMD’s Zen 5 architecture and offers 16 cores and 32 threads. The maximum clock speed is 5.1 GHz, supported by 80MB of cache for optimized multitasking and AI application performance. For graphics, it utilizes Radeon 8060S, an integrated GPU based on AMD’s RDNA 3.5 technology with 40 compute units.
One of the standout features is its dedicated AI NPU (neural processing unit), which provides up to 50 TOPS of performance, accelerating generative AI, image editing, and machine learning tasks. The device also supports Wi-Fi 7, 2.5Gbps Ethernet, and a comprehensive selection of ports: two USB 4.0 ports, three USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, an SD 4.0 card slot, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and audio/LAN support. Memory support includes LPDDR5 at 8000MHz and two M.2 SSD slots.
The SMART 900 features an aluminium build with a smooth anodized finish, creating a sleek and durable product. Its small size (247.5mm wide) makes it highly portable. Colorful targets the mini PC at students, video editors, and digital artists looking for a balance between power and portability. While the pricing is yet to be announced, the specs suggest a premium offering.
