Are you looking to buy a new SUV? It might be wise to wait. Several manufacturers are planning new facelifts and launches that could offer buyers more attractive choices. If you’re considering the 3-door Mahindra Thar or the XUV700, delaying your purchase might be beneficial.
The Mahindra Thar (3-door) is set to receive an update soon, drawing inspiration from recently spotted test mules. This refresh includes a new front fascia inspired by the Thar Roxx. The new variant is expected to include a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a digital driver’s display, and ventilated seats, as well as wireless charging and automatic climate control. Safety upgrades will feature a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS features. Engine options, including petrol and diesel variants with both rear-wheel and four-wheel drive, are expected to remain unchanged.
The XUV700 is also in line for a facelift. Spy shots of test mules suggest minor design tweaks, including a revised front fascia, while maintaining the vehicle’s existing silhouette. The facelifted XUV700 is expected to feature redesigned headlights and a new front fascia.
Skoda is preparing to update the Slavia. The update might include a digital driver’s display, a 360-degree camera system, and a premium audio system. The Kushaq is also scheduled for a mid-cycle update. The Kushaq facelift will introduce a redesigned front fascia, electronic parking brakes, a larger digital instrument panel, and Level 2 ADAS. The car will retain its current powertrain options.
Renault is expected to facelift both the Triber and Kiger. The overall design will stay the same with a revised front fascia, refreshed alloy wheels, and LED lighting. The interiors will feature enhanced features to compete with new and updated competitors. The Renault Duster is also slated for a facelift. The Duster has already been spotted undergoing testing in Europe and is expected to be launched in India soon. Nissan also plans to launch the Duster under a different brand.
