A man in the Gumla district of Jharkhand stands accused of murdering his wife’s lover by using an axe, after the ongoing affair was discovered. The accused husband, Kunwar Nayak, and his wife have since fled the scene following the incident. The victim was identified as Bittu Nayak. The Palakot police station is investigating the case.
Police took possession of the victim’s body and sent it for a post-mortem examination. Authorities are actively seeking Kunwar Nayak and his wife. Information indicates that Bittu Nayak, a resident of the same village as Kunwar Nayak, was engaged in an illicit relationship with Kunwar Nayak’s wife.
Before the murder, Kunwar Nayak had warned Bittu Nayak to end the relationship. Despite the warnings, Bittu Nayak persisted, leading to increased awareness of the affair within the village. During an encounter, Kunwar Nayak found his wife and her lover together. In a fit of rage, he used an axe to kill Bittu Nayak before fleeing with his wife.
The tragic incident follows a similar event in Khunti, where a woman named Chandu Soy, took the life of her husband after discovering another woman in their home.
