Donald Trump has claimed that the US military operation, dubbed ‘Operation Midnight Hammer,’ caused considerable damage to Iran’s nuclear sites. Trump described the destruction as ‘monumental’ and cited satellite images to support his statement. He even used the term ‘obliteration’ to describe the level of impact. The operation involved ‘precision strikes’ against key Iranian nuclear facilities, specifically in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. In addition to his remarks on the nuclear sites, Trump also hinted at the prospect of ‘regime change’ in Iran, questioning whether the current leadership could achieve national progress. US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed the success of the military action, clarifying that the primary goal was to impede Iran’s nuclear ambitions and that the operation did not target Iranian military personnel or civilians.
