Veteran journalist and West Asia specialist Waiel Awwad stated that India could take a proactive role in resolving the conflict between Iran and Israel. He insisted that India should utilize its strong position to reduce the escalating tensions in the region. Awwad highlighted potential negative impacts on India’s oil and food security. He also mentioned the large amount of revenue India gains from that region. He added that the G20 summit showed that India can take a leadership role and proactively help in the situation.
