England may see the return of star pacer Jofra Archer for the second Test against India. Archer, who hasn’t played a match since May 2021, is scheduled to play for Sussex against Durham. Despite facing numerous injuries, Archer has recently participated in the 2025 Champions Trophy. England selector Luke Wright has stated that if Archer performs well for Sussex, he could be considered for selection in the second Test. In the first Test, India has taken the lead, with Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Rishabh Pant making centuries. England’s bowlers, including Ben Stokes and Josh Tongue, have struggled. Archer’s possible comeback would boost England’s chances in the second Test.
