A grim discovery in Chhattisgarh’s Durg district has led to a police investigation after the bodies of two children were found in separate wells. The incident has caused a wave of concern in the area. The police immediately responded to the scene, launching a formal investigation. The Amleshwar police confirmed the recovery.
The location of the incident is Khamharia village, which falls under the Patan block. The police were alerted by locals due to a suspicious odor coming from two wells. With the help of the community, the Amleshwar police retrieved the bodies. Initial observations suggest the children’s hands and feet were tied, potentially indicating a homicide. The bodies are believed to have been in the wells for about four days.
The children are estimated to be around 10 and 12 years old. The authorities are working to identify them, and a forensic team is providing assistance.
