During International Yoga Day, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma participated in a yoga event in Jaisalmer, recognizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s role in globalizing the practice. Sharma emphasized the ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’ theme, highlighting the connection between humans and the environment. He noted that yoga promotes harmony between humans and nature and offers a holistic approach to health and well-being. Sharma mentioned that the state government is dedicated to improving individual and environmental health. He described yoga as a gift from Indian civilization, unifying the body, mind, intellect, and soul. Sharma also stated that yoga helps people lead healthy lives amid challenges like stress and pollution. He noted that yoga has always been part of India’s ancient culture. Sharma acknowledged PM Modi’s efforts in the UN, leading to the declaration of June 21 as International Yoga Day. The Chief Minister praised PM Modi for spreading Indian cultural values worldwide. He highlighted projects like the Ram Temple, Kashi Vishwanath corridor revamp, and other religious sites. The Rajasthan government is also developing major religious sites. Sharma added that under PM Modi’s leadership, India has become a spiritual, economic, and military power, referencing Operation Sindoor and the plans to redirect water from the Indus and Chenab rivers.
