Ranjita Stadium in Jashpur district hosted a significant event to mark International Yoga Day, with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai taking part in the yoga session. Also present were Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade and Yoga Commission Chairman Roop Narayan Sinha. CM Sai spoke about yoga’s long history in India, where it has been practiced for ages. He acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative in declaring June 21 as International Yoga Day, giving yoga worldwide recognition. He urged people to make yoga a regular part of their lives, dedicating time for it daily. He explained that yoga, which means ‘to connect,’ is about integrating with life. He observed that yoga is now practiced worldwide. Sharing his personal experience, he mentioned he practices yoga, including Kapalbhati, daily for 25-30 minutes, and that it has helped him lose weight. He pointed out the significance of yoga for health and preventing diseases. The International Yoga Day celebration saw a large turnout. A highlight of the event was a yoga performance by 10-year-old Varsha Mishra, a deaf and mute girl, who was later honored by CM Sai with a special gift.
