The Indian Consulate in Vancouver has reported the death of Tanya Tyagi, an Indian student enrolled at the University of Calgary. The Consulate offered condolences and pledged to assist the bereaved family. The circumstances surrounding her death have not been officially disclosed. A social media post from Ishu Tyagi claims that Tanya died on June 17th due to a heart attack, and her family has sought help from the Prime Minister’s Office to repatriate her body. According to her LinkedIn profile, Tanya was pursuing a Master’s in Food Safety and Quality. She also had a background in retail and quality assurance. This unfortunate event follows the earlier death of Vanshika Saini in Ottawa, underscoring the potential risks faced by Indian students studying abroad.
