Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh – The Andhra Pradesh government held a high-level review meeting at the VMRDA office in Visakhapatnam to finalize the preparations for the 11th International Yoga Day, which is scheduled for June 21. The event is expected to attract a massive gathering of five lakh participants, necessitating detailed planning and arrangements. The meeting included the participation of ministers, such as Vangalapudi Anitha, and other public representatives. Home Minister Anitha shared key details after the meeting, emphasizing the significance of Yoga as a gift from India and the government’s efforts to promote a healthy lifestyle. The preparations encompass the allocation of 326 compartments for participants, the installation of more than 2,000 CCTV cameras for security, and the provision of essential items, including yoga mats and ORS bottles. The alternative venue, Andhra University, has been identified for use in case of rain. The government is focused on ensuring a successful and well-managed event, celebrating the global significance of Yoga.
