Former US President Donald Trump is scheduled to have a lunch meeting with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, on Wednesday in Washington D.C., according to the White House itinerary. The visit of General Munir to the United States has been marked by protests from overseas Pakistanis and PTI activists. Protesters voiced slogans while Munir was being welcomed at an event in Washington DC, with videos of the demonstration surfacing on social media. Trump is also dealing with the ongoing crisis in West Asia, having posted on Truth Social demanding an unconditional surrender by Iran, and has met with his national security team. General Munir has been vocal in his support for Iran.
