Nupur Sanon, sister of Bollywood star Kriti Sanon, is experiencing considerable criticism directed towards her fashion brand, Label Nobo. Social media users are voicing their dissatisfaction, claiming the brand sells basic clothing at excessive prices. Many perceive the pricing as exploitative.
Label Nobo, established in 2024 and meaning ‘No boundaries’, pledges to offer ‘high-quality premium fabrics.’ The brand has been promoted by Kriti Sanon, Nupur Sanon, Uorfi Javed, Sanjana Sanghi, and Rida Tharana, among other celebrities.
The pricing of the brand has become a focal point of the criticism. Dresses are priced starting at approximately Rs 7,000, while kurta sets are priced up to Rs 26,500. A Banarasi lehenga is offered at Rs 21,000. Additionally, a set consisting of a skirt and crop top is priced at Rs 20,000, and shorts are available for Rs 2,400.
Reddit users have been particularly harsh in their reviews. One user wrote, “I think her brand name is incomplete cause she clearly forgot to write Label NoboDY IS BUYING THIS OVERPRICED FAST FASHION SHIT FROM ME.” Another questioned, “Who is going to buy at these prices even for her sister’s name?” The brand was accused of scamming by several users.
Additional comments included remarks like “Ridiculous,” and the sarcastic, “Rs 750 last price.” One user stated, “I have been to Jaipur and Jodhpur the past year and honestly, have found better patchwork jackets from local markets for less than Rs 1500.” Another noted, “Bhai yeh sab kapre Rajouri or Chandni Chowk mein dhakke khaa rhe hai. What even???” One particularly critical comment said, “These are the ugliest clothes I’ve ever seen, good lord.”
