A heartbreaking incident in the Palamu district of Jharkhand resulted in the death of a father and son. Jagat Rajwar (60) and his son, Munna Rajwar (32), entered a well in Sahiyara village, Hussainabad, to retrieve a ‘lota’ that had fallen in. The son entered the well first, and when he didn’t return, his father followed. Both were later found deceased inside the well. Police were called to the scene and, with assistance, retrieved the bodies. The preliminary investigation indicates that they may have died due to a lack of oxygen within the well. The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination to determine the precise cause of death. The family is coping with the immense grief.
