The flight, carrying 242 passengers and 12 crew, crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad. The official X handle of Boeing Commercial Airplanes confirmed their contact with Air India and offered assistance. The flight included a mix of nationalities, including Indian, British, Canadian and Portuguese citizens. The FAA and NTSB are also involved in the investigation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences and is actively monitoring the situation, assuring support to those affected. The aircraft, a Boeing Dreamliner 787, took off from Runway 23 and subsequently crashed.
