Surajpur Road Tragedy: Mother and Son Perish in Scooter-Tanker Crash

A heartbreaking incident in Surajpur has led to the deaths of a mother and her son in a road accident. The tragedy unfolded within the Bhatgaon police station limits. Urmila Nayak and her 10-year-old son were riding a scooter towards Matiguda when a diesel tanker collided with them near Kapsara village on the Ambikapur-Banaras road. The son died at the scene, and the mother was rushed to Ambikapur Medical College, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The deceased woman worked as a sanitation employee at the Jarhi Nagar Panchayat. Police have arrested the tanker driver and initiated an investigation into the accident.
