Vikram Misri in UAE: Discussions on Bilateral Cooperation and Counter-Terrorism Efforts

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri undertook a visit to Abu Dhabi, UAE on June 10th, following up on the December 2024 Joint Commission Meeting. His discussions with Reem Al Hashim, Minister of State for International Cooperation, centered on the strategic partnership and its expansion in sectors such as trade, investments, and energy. The two countries agreed to promote mutual interests in international forums. Misri conveyed gratitude to the UAE leadership for their support in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terrorist attack. He also met with Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Co-existence, acknowledging the care provided to the Indian community in the UAE. A significant meeting was held with Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence Affairs, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee, to reinforce the commitment of both nations to counter terrorism. The visit highlighted the sustained high-level dialogue aimed at strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between India and the UAE.
