Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri’s recent visit to Abu Dhabi on June 10th underscored the deepening Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and the UAE. The visit served as a follow-up to the Joint Commission Meeting held in December 2024. During his visit, Misri held discussions with Reem Al Hashim, focusing on various aspects of the bilateral relationship, including trade, investment, and defense. Both nations agreed to work together in international forums to further their common interests. Misri expressed appreciation for the UAE’s support in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terrorist attack. The Foreign Secretary also met with Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, and Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, to reinforce the commitment to fight terrorism and recognize the care provided to the Indian diaspora residing in the UAE. This visit highlights the continued high-level engagement between the two countries and the strengthening of their strategic alliance.
