A devastating car-truck collision in Jaipur on Wednesday morning claimed the lives of five people and injured eight others. Among the deceased were a newly-married couple from Madhya Pradesh. The accident occurred on the Dausa-Manoharpur National Highway (NH-148) when the car they were traveling in collided with a truck. The group was returning from a wedding function, and the truck was reportedly driving at high speed and on the wrong side of the road. The truck driver fled the scene after the crash. Emergency services and local residents provided immediate aid. The injured were taken to the hospital. Authorities have identified the deceased and are conducting investigations. An FIR will be filed once family members arrive.
