Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has revealed plans to conduct a new caste survey in the state. During meetings with the Congress high command in Delhi, the decision to re-evaluate the caste census was made. The new survey is slated for completion within three months. The goal is to address issues raised by organizations, religious leaders, and certain ministers. The announcement comes after the last enumeration took place in 2015-16. Discussions also encompassed the recent stampede in Bengaluru, with the CM explaining the government’s actions. These included investigations and administrative decisions, emphasizing the need to avoid political exploitation of the tragedy.
