In a surprising move, former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav has seemingly distanced himself from his son, Tej Pratap Yadav, by removing him from both the party and the family. This decision was triggered by the emergence of a photograph featuring Tej Pratap with Anushka Yadav. Tej Pratap has taken to social media to share his feelings and convey political messages, often referring to his parents and posting an image of himself with outstretched arms in front of a picture of Lalu Prasad Yadav.
Tej Pratap posted a picture of his father, Lalu Prasad Yadav, on social media. In this image, Tej Pratap is standing beneath a picture of Lalu Prasad Yadav on the wall. He accompanied the image with the message: ‘The deeper the darkness, the closer the dawn.’ Tej Pratap is shown with his arms extended, indicating his desire to return. This raises the question of whether Lalu Yadav, known for his forgiving nature towards Tej Pratap, will extend the same leniency this time.
Lalu Prasad Yadav’s actions have raised eyebrows, and the situation is being analyzed in the context of the forthcoming Bihar elections. The controversy involves Anushka Yadav, rumored to be linked to Tej Pratap. Reports suggest that Tej Pratap may have married Anushka Yadav, while he is still legally married to Aishwarya Yadav, with the divorce proceedings ongoing. The release of pictures of Tej Pratap with Anushka Yadav is expected to negatively impact Lalu’s party and family, leading Lalu Prasad Yadav to take action based on public conduct and family discipline.
Tej Pratap appears eager to make a comeback. After Lalu’s action, Tej Pratap wrote on social media platform X, ‘My dear Mom and Dad… My whole world is just in you both. You are more than God, you and your given orders are everything to me. I only need your trust and love, not anything else. Papa, if you were not there, neither would this party be, nor would some greedy people like Jaychand be with me in politics. Just Mom-Dad, may you both always be healthy and happy.’ He did not mention any of his siblings. He then posted another message focusing on his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav, with both posts featuring the mention of ‘Jaychand.’ Addressing Tejashwi Yadav, he wrote, ‘Those who dream of separating me from my Arjun, you will never succeed in your conspiracies. You can take Krishna’s army, but not Krishna himself. I will soon expose every conspiracy. Just trust my brother, I am with you in every situation, currently far away, but my blessings were always with you and will remain with you my brother, take care of Mom-Dad, Jaychand is everywhere, inside and outside.’
On June 7th, Tej Pratap Yadav shared a post where he was seen listening to people’s problems. Tej Pratap wrote that a person walking on the path of truth always wins. We should always walk on the path of truth. The path of truth is certainly difficult, but victory is always of the person walking on the path of truth. Raja Harishchandra regained his lost prestige by walking on the path of truth, the Pandavas defeated the Kauravas in the war by walking on the path of truth. Afterwards, he made another post on June 9th, in which he is standing with his arms outstretched under the picture of Lalu Yadav on the wall.
Tej Pratap appears to be striving to return to his family and the party. Lalu Yadav may forgive eventually, but for now, he’s hesitant to make a move due to the upcoming elections. Lalu Yadav has a history of forgiving many individuals. The reasons for forgiveness can vary, with political considerations often taking precedence over personal ones. For instance, Lalu Yadav didn’t forgive Purnia MP Pappu Yadav. Other names on the list may include Sadhu Yadav and other relatives, along with a separate list of leaders.
Notable figures like Nitish Kumar, Shivanand Tiwari, and Jagdanand Singh have also been involved in Lalu’s political history. The relationship between Lalu and Nitish has experienced ups and downs. In 2022, when Nitish Kumar re-joined the Mahagathbandhan, Rabri Devi responded with ‘everything is forgiven’ when questioned about the past.
