Hyundai is working on several strategies to enhance its market presence in India. The brand plans to introduce new models and hybrid powertrains. A significant part of this plan is the development of an all-new 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder turbo engine in India. The upcoming Creta, and the Palisade are central to the company’s plans and both will feature hybrid powertrains. The Creta may get the new 1.2-liter engine, while the Palisade might be offered with a 1.6-liter diesel hybrid, a 2.5-liter engine, or a V6 option. The Bayon hatchback will be among the first to utilize this engine. Hyundai is also considering use of this engine in the Venue and i20 models. This reflects Hyundai’s proactive stance on meeting future emission standards.
