Israeli forces intercepted a boat carrying climate activist Greta Thunberg and other individuals attempting to reach Gaza. The interception of the ‘Madleen’ took place early Monday, with the vessel being redirected to Israel. The Israeli Foreign Ministry confirmed that all on board were safe and being transported to Israel, and provided passengers with provisions. The boat, part of the Gaza Freedom Flotilla, carried supplies for Gaza. The ministry highlighted the vast amount of aid already entering Gaza through established channels, contrasting this with the limited amount of aid on the boat. The Gaza Freedom Flotilla Coalition reported the interception and alleged attacks. Israeli authorities had anticipated intercepting the boat. The Israeli Defense Minister stated that he ordered the interception to prevent the boat from reaching Gaza.
