A passenger on a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru experienced an unusual flight when they were trapped in the lavatory for the whole journey. The airline has apologized and reportedly offered compensation, but the event sparked amusement online.
The passenger was rescued after the flight landed in Bengaluru. Ground staff and engineers promptly opened the malfunctioning toilet door.
The incident occurred on a Monday night flight that departed Mumbai with a two-hour delay. The passenger, who was seated in seat 14D, entered the restroom shortly after takeoff and was unable to exit due to a jammed door lock.
The crew, after trying to unlock the door, decided to provide comfort with a handwritten note, which was passed through the gap under the door. The note asked the passenger to stay on the toilet seat until the flight landed in Bengaluru.
The note went viral, with many people finding the crew’s actions humorous and commenting on the handwriting.
