The district administration in Pendra has taken strong action concerning the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Secretary Rajkumar Sharma of Tendumuda Gram Panchayat has been suspended for negligence and a lack of diligence in his duties. The Employment Assistant of the same panchayat, Jyoti Kashyap, has been issued a show cause notice.
Moreover, the secretary of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat has been instructed to be transferred to another position immediately. These measures were taken following directives from District Panchayat CEO Surendra Prasad Vaid. Vaid has made it clear that negligence in government schemes will not be accepted. He warned all panchayat staff that strict action will be taken against anyone who obstructs the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, a key government initiative.
This assertive move by the administration has created a heightened sense of urgency within the panchayats, with all being directed to ensure timely and transparent implementation of the schemes.
