The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is moving forward with the construction of a flatted factory in Yamuna City, conveniently situated near the future Noida International Airport. The project, located in Sector 28, is focused on strengthening the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector. Officials have estimated the total cost at ₹125 crore, with a completion timeframe of two years.
A flatted factory is an innovative concept involving a multi-story industrial building that houses multiple small-scale production facilities. This setup offers notable advantages for small business owners, facilitating efficient space usage and shared resources. This project will be the first of its kind in the Greater Noida area.
The factory will accommodate over 100 industrial units, spanning an area of 38,665 square meters. A Medical Device Park will also be established in the same sector. Dr. Arun Vir Singh, CEO of YEIDA, explained that the project aligns with the government’s goal to support small businesses by providing all essential amenities in one location. The amenities will include air conditioning, elevators, firefighting systems, water supply, and electricity. In addition, the facility will incorporate CCTV security and environmentally friendly architectural designs.
This initiative is expected to draw investors and generate employment opportunities. The proximity to the Noida International Airport is anticipated to increase passenger traffic, benefiting business owners from cities such as Jaipur and Mumbai, who predominantly rely on Delhi Airport for air travel.
