The Jharkhand Bhawan in Delhi became the site of a protest when BJP MLA Dr. Kushwaha Shashi Bhushan Mehta was denied the room he had reserved. The MLA expressed his dissatisfaction and staged a sit-in at the reception, consuming his breakfast on the floor. He highlighted the situation, questioning the purpose of the Jharkhand Bhawan, which was built with substantial investment, and demanded accountability from the authorities. Dr. Mehta urged Chief Minister Hemant Soren to take action to improve the facility’s management and ensure proper accommodation for all Jharkhand MLAs. The state-of-the-art Jharkhand Bhawan, a seven-story building with numerous guest rooms and suites, opened in September 2024.
