This news follows the release of the first OnePlus Open in October 2023, and will be disappointing for some potential customers. Tipsters, such as Sanju Choudhary, have reported this delay, as earlier expectations were for a Q1 2025 launch. Rumored specifications for the Open 2 include a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, a foldable screen with 2K+ resolution, and a 50MP triple camera system potentially including a circular periscope telephoto lens. Furthermore, expectations include 3-stage wireless charging capabilities, alongside a design featuring a narrower frame and a thinner, lighter build. However, the company has not yet confirmed these features.
