Liverpool have had a turbulent begin to their season and are positioned eighth within the Premier League desk.

FSG launched a press release after the Athletic reported that Liverpool had been put up on the market. They mentioned the group would think about new shareholders if it was in the perfect pursuits of Liverpool as a membership.

“There have been a number of recent changes of ownership and rumors of changes in ownership at EPL clubs and inevitably, we are asked regularly about Fenway Sports Group’s ownership in Liverpool. FSG has frequently received expressions of interest from third parties seeking to become shareholders in Liverpool. FSG has said before that under the right terms and conditions we would consider new shareholders if it was in the best interests of Liverpool as a club,” FSG’s assertion learn.

However, ultimately, they did point out that in the meanwhile, the Fenway Group would stay absolutely dedicated to the success of Liverpool.

“FSG remains fully committed to the success of Liverpool, both on and off the pitch,” FSG’s assertion added.

The noise round Liverpool comes at a time after they’ve struggled to maintain up with title rivals Manchester City with supervisor Jurgen Klopp popping out and saying Liverpool can’t act like them.

“Nobody can compete with City in that. You have the best team in the world and you put in the best striker (Erling Haaland) on the market. No matter what it costs, you just do it. What does Liverpool do? We cannot act like them. It’s not possible,” mentioned Klopp.
