SSS chief Raju Shetti declares snapping of ties with MVA, accuses Maharashtra authorities of ignoring farmers

PUNE: Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghtana chief Raju Shetti on Tuesday stated his outfit was snapping ties with the ruling Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi over numerous farm points.
He stated the choice was taken within the celebration’s govt assembly in Kolhapur, which additionally endorsed the transfer to take away its lone MLA Devendra Bhoyar from the celebration.
While addressing a gathering in Kolhapur, Shetti introduced the snapping of ties with MVA over the ruling dispensation’s apathy in the direction of farmers and agricultural misery.
“The Swabhimani Shetkari Paksh was formed to safeguard the interests of farmers and restore their respect. Today, farmers are committing suicide but no one is bothered about it. We want to restore their respect and make them stand on their feet and that is why Swambhimani Shetkari Sanghtana was formed,” stated Shetti.
He stated the outfit plunged into electoral politics to strengthen the farmers’ motion, and alliances have been made with events simply to make sure advantages for farmers.
Speaking to PTI, Shetti stated, “We have taken the decision to snap all ties with MVA. The decision to amend the Land Acquisition Act has caused losses to farmers. As per the amended Act, the farmers will now get only 30 per cent compensation,” he stated.
Shetti stated he needed the state authorities to roll again the choice to pay honest and remunerative value (FRP) in two instalments.
Shetti stated he’ll meet Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari to get his identify dropped from the proposed MLC listing in case it’s there.
