A delegation of Panchayat officers of Bijapur district, led by Bijapur MLA Shri Vikram Mandavi, met Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at his residence workplace right here this night. The delegation thanked the Chief Minister for growing the honorarium of the workplace bearers of Zila Panchayat, Janpad Panchayat and Gram Panchayats and for the availability of Zilla Panchayat Development Fund and Janpad Panchayat Development Fund Scheme. The delegation offered a picket statue of the tribal Dol dance of Bastar to Chief Minister Mr. Baghel. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel took data from the Panchayat officers concerning distribution of forest rights lease, Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana and different authorities schemes, infrastructure development and growth works in Bijapur district.
It is noteworthy that within the price range, the honorarium of Zilla Panchayat Presidents has been elevated from Rs.15 thousand to Rs.25 thousand, that of Zila Panchayat Vice-Presidents from Rs.10,000 to Rs.15 thousand and that of Zila Panchayat members from Rs.6 thousand to Rs.10,000 per 30 days. Similarly, honorarium of Janpad Panchayat Presidents elevated from Rs.6 thousand to Rs.10 thousand, honorarium of Janpad Panchayat Vice-Presidents elevated from Rs.4 thousand to Rs.6 thousand and that of Janpad Panchayat members from Rs.1500 to Rs.5 thousand and Sarpanch’s allowance elevated from Rs.2 thousand to Rs.4 thousand. The allowance of Rs. and Panches has been elevated from Rs. 200 to Rs. 500 per 30 days.
