Suu Kyi sentence lowered to 2 years from 4, says Myanmar state TV

Myanmar’s deposed chief Aung San Suu Kyi has had her sentence lowered from 4 years to 2 years after a partial pardon by the pinnacle of the military-appointed authorities, the nation’s state tv reported on Monday.
Earlier on Monday, a courtroom in Myanmar discovered Suu Kyi, ousted in a Feb. 1 coup, responsible of fees of incitement and breaching coronavirus restrictions, drawing worldwide outrage at what some critics described as a “sham trial”.
President Win Myint was sentenced to 4 years’ detention, Myanmar’s state-run broadcaster MRTV reported.
Both Suu Kyi and Win Myint will serve their sentences the place they’re presently being detained, an undisclosed location, suggesting they won’t be despatched to jail.
