Russian missile assault on maternity hospital kills new child in Ukraine

A Russian missile hit the maternity ward of the Vilnianska Hospital close to Zaporizhzhia in Ukraine by which a new child was killed. Russia has denied concentrating on civilians.

By India Today Web Desk: A Russian missile hit a maternity hospital within the Zaporizhzhia area, killing a child, the regional governor stated on the Telegram messaging service, information company Reuters reported. Russia has denied the allegations.

In a Telegram publish, Zaporizhzhia Oblast Governor Oleksandr Starukh wrote, a Russian missile assault hit the maternity ward of the Vilnianska Hospital close to Zaporizhzhia in a single day on November 23. A new child child was killed within the assault, Starukh stated, the Kyiv Independent stated in a report.

“On the night of November 23, in the city of Vilniansk in Zaporizhzhia region, as a result of a rocket attack on the territory of the local hospital, the two-storey building of the maternity ward was destroyed,” rescuers stated on social media, including that “as a result of the attack, a baby born in 2022 died”.

ENERGY CRISIS IN UKRAINE

Due to relentless Russian strikes, the facility buildings in Ukraine are in tatters. With a harsh winter looming, Ukraine’s authorities has promised to create shelters to offer warmth and water and encourage residents to preserve vitality.

The authorities has introduced the institution of particular ‘invincibility centres’ to offer electrical energy, warmth, water, web, cell phone connections and a pharmacy, freed from cost and across the clock, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in a video message.

“If massive Russian strikes happen again and its clear power will not be restored for hours, the ‘invincibility centres’ will go into action with all key services,” Zelenskyy stated.

Authorities have warned of energy cuts that would have an effect on tens of millions of individuals to the top of March – the most recent influence from Russia’s nine-month invasion that has already killed tens of hundreds, uprooted tens of millions, and pummelled the worldwide financial system.
