NCERT launches one-year diploma in steering and counselling

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has introduced a one-year diploma course for the coaching of pros in steering and counselling. Candidates can apply on-line at ncert.nic.in. The final date for submission of the net software type is November 5, 2021.
The course can be a mix of each distance and face-to-face modes. The course goals at enhancing the talents and competencies of lecturers to advertise the holistic growth of scholars and deal with their tutorial, socio-emotional, and moral issues.

Teachers, educators, faculty directors and untrained steering personnel from India can apply for the course. The course can be transacted in three phases, i.e. distance (six months; January–June 2022), face-to-face contact programme at respective research centres (three months; July–September 2022), and internship in dwelling city/office (three months; October–December 2022).
Applicants should connect self-attested copies of marks/grade sheets/levels/certificates in assist of {qualifications} and work expertise with the applying type.

“The increasing complexities and stresses of modern-day living, everyday reports of lack of interest in studies, low achievement, truancy, aggression, behavioural problems, suicide, drug abuse and the like call for the provision of guidance and counselling for children and youth in schools. Teachers and other school personnel need to equip themselves with helping skills to promote students’ personal, social, educational, career development and adjustment throughout the school years. This, however, requires professional orientation and training,” NCERT mentioned.
Admission to eligible candidates can be supplied at DEPFE, NCERT, New Delhi and regional institutes of schooling at Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysuru and Shillong. A complete of fifty seats can be obtainable at every centre.

Government deputed professionals from centrally funded organisations should pay Rs 19,500 because the course payment, whereas the payment for presidency deputed candidates from state/UT departments is Rs 6,000. Private candidates who want to take the course should pay Rs 30,000.
