By India Today Sports Desk: Gujarat Titans’ skipper Hardik Pandya stated that he was genuinely involved when Ruturaj Gaikwad was going all weapons blazing within the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 opening match. On March 31, the right-handed Gaikwad scored 92 runs off 50 balls with 4 fours and 9 sixes on the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Hardik admitted that when Gaikwad was batting, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) had each likelihood of scoring within the vary of 220 and 230. After Gaikwad obtained out to Alzarri Joseph, CSK misplaced momentum and have been restricted to 178 for seven in 20 overs.

The 29-year-old Hardik stated that he was discovering it robust to marshall his troops when Gaikwad was scoring runs off good deliveries.

“As a captain, that made my job more difficult, but full credit to him. If he continues the way he’s batting, he’s going to do wonders to Indian cricket. He has the game and when the time comes, I am sure the Indian cricket team will also back him enough,” Hardik added.

Chasing 183, Shubman Gill scored 63 runs off 36 balls because the Titans romped house with 5 balls left of their innings.
